AMA Management Councils
Management Council Members
Council members are elected by members of the Association, and carry
out various management functions on behalf of the Association. From
time to time, elected council members may co-opt additional members
into the management council, to assist them in the management
functions

Richard Toh - President
Richard Toh PK is the President of Asian Management Association,
CEO of Certified Consultant Academy and Managing Director of PS Consulting Group of companies.
Richard started his career in 1986, with a humble Polytechnic Education. His career path was built through some difficult ways, while he worked hard in the sales profession but yielded insignificant results in the early days. Till 1991, he realised the importance of Structured Learning and hence invested his 10 solid years into the pursuit of Tertiary Education. Today, in addition to achieving his career success, he is pursuing his Doctoral Degree with the world renowned IMCA (International Management Centres Association, UK), and owns an MBA and BBUS from Preston University and La Trobe University respectively. As a self-starter, Richard has gained vast experience in a diverse field of professional discipline that includes: Quality Assurance, Marketing & Sales, and Business Development.

Paul Yang - Vice President
Paul Yang is the Vice President of Asian Management
Association. Since 2002, he has been holding a directorship in
Transhore Holding Inc and ThinkTank Corporation, with interest
in Aviation, Education and Healthcare investments. Prior to
his present appointments, he was working as a Financial
Investment Analyst for Hutchinson China Ltd. (member of the
Hutchinson Gp.) and Keppel FELS Power Ltd. (member of the
Keppel Gp.) Academically, he holds a BA and MA Degrees from
University of Cambridge, and his MBA and DIC qualification are
obtained from the Imperial College, London University. A
veteran investor and a firm believer in Learning, Paul aims to
bring the AMA’s Action-Driven and Result-Focus spirit into
the wide areas of the Asia, that includes China.

Timothy Chan - Hon. Secretary
Mr. Timothy Chan founded the Certified Consultants Network in July 2006 (CCN - Certified Consultants.org), the site is now a part of the CCA network. Timothy is a Certified Practitioner in Consulting with AIMUK (Association of International Management UK) and a Certified Consultant with AMA (Asian Management Association). In the past 20 years Timothy have vast experience both as an entrepreneur and corporate manager with experience in sales and marketing management, business development and was also involved in various mergers and acquisition projects. At present Timothy also serve, without stipend, as Project Director (Asia) with AIMUK and Director of Delfin Industries, a unit of Delfin UK group of companies, with offices in UK, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Shanghai.Timothy is educated in Marketing Management with the Oklahoma City University. He is also the Secretary of AMA and a active Fellow of AIMUK.

Chua Chye Beng - Assistant
Secretary
Mr Chua Chye Beng (Chua) is the Managing Director of SingWealth Pte Ltd
(SingWealth). He holds a Masters of Business Administration majoring in Entrepreneurial Management from Entrepreneurship Institute Australia.
His prior work experience in Singwealth International provided him with the opportunity and exposure to special projects which required valuation expertise and financial structuring. SingWealth specializes in mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructurings, joint ventures, strategic partnerships, capital market issues (IPO, reverse takeovers) and raising private equity.
In addition, he also owned both Singbrand Pte Ltd specializing in graphic design, web design and branding as well as World Of Information Technology Pte Ltd (WIT) for the past 15 years. WIT provides IT Contract Manpower Services to various MNCs and banks.

Colin Koh Teow Teng - Hon.
Treasurer
Colin Koh is an established engineer, management professional, teacher and tai-ji exponent. Professionally he has served in various management positions with a Multi-National Corporation. He is active in community service and is currently the Chairman of the Singapore Professional Centre (SPC, organiser of the Career 2007 Exhibition) and the President of the Continuing Professional Development Association (CPDA). Colin has trained widely in the region in various professional and academic programmes. He is a Fellow of the Singapore Institute of Aerospace Engineer (SIAE). He holds a Master of International Business from the University of Technology, Sydney and a Master of Management from the University of Canberra, and is pusuing further research.

Toh Puay Yong - Assistant
Treasurer
Toh Puay Yong is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in
Singapore. He is also CCo and CFO of Certified Consultant
Academy. He graduated from National University of Singapore
with a Bachelor of Accountancy degree and later read MBA via
distance learning at University of Manchester.
Puay Yong has worked in US & German MNCs & regional
corporations and is well exposed to the areas of corporate
planning, risk control, financial management, administration,
operations and quality management.
His 2 years’ overseas posting in China as Controller exposed
him well to cross-cultural management, where he was overall
in-charge of the Corporate Planning, Finance, HR,
Administration, as well as Operations (Purchasing, Shipping,
Scheduling etc.) functions of a 200-professional-strong
multi-million business. To date, he has helped numerous
corporations formulate and implement business strategies, as
well as financial/quality management and internal control
systems.

Dr Chan Kah Chee- Research
Director
Dr KC Chan is the Director of Studies of PS Consulting Group. He holds double Doctorate qualification from Strathclyde University (UK) and IMCA (International Management Centres Association, UK). With his past 27 years of management exposure, Dr Chan has been regarded as a veteran academic cum practitioner in the Holistic Learning arena. His impressive career achievement includes his position as the Director of Internal Consulting in the Sinar Mas Group, the 2nd largest conglomerate in Indonesia, and also his COO position in the Cambodia's casino group.
In addition to his busy work schedule dedicated to the regional traveling on the consulting services, he spent his time in continuing his research in Action-Learning and Holistic-Learning. He believes that the right learning method is the Key to Human's success.

Jason Chew - Hon. Exco Conucil Member
Mr Jason Chew Chan Yeow hold a Bachelor of Arts in International Hospitality Management, from the University of Huddersfield, UK. He has lived and worked in Taiwan for 6 years as academic consultant, and has accumulated rich experience in higher education in Singapore, Taiwan and China. He is currently an academic consultant and senior lecturer in collaboration with institution in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam, India and China lecturing tourism & hospitality management courses. He specializes in Marketing in Tourism & Hospitality, Development & Planning in Tourism & Hospitality, Strategic Management in International Tourism & Hospitality, Managing Change & Innovation, and Tourism & Hospitality Business development, Convention Sales & Services, Human Resource Management, Organizational Structure and Service Marketing.

Dr. Sam Manohur - Hon. Auditor
Dr. Sam Manohur was conferred the Ph.D. in Business Adminstration from Preston University and his doctoral thesis was on “The real and perceived effects of outsourcing in Singapore”. He holds a Master of Business Administration (Strategic Management) degree and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Management Studies from the University of East London, UK. He also holds professional qualifications in Marketing and Industrial Management. He has more than 25 years of diverse national and international experience spanning technical, operations, and business development and management in the multi-national companies. He is founder and principal consultant of Interbiz Solutions. He has extensive teaching experience at all levels.

David Bedinghaus - Hon. Auditor
David Bedinghaus is a Certified Consultant with AMA. He is currently the Executive Chef at the Meritus Mandarin Singapore Hotel. Most recent accomplishments have been operations cost reductions, work-redesign and job-redesign, productivity improvements, implementation of HACCP Hygiene and ISO process management structures and modernization of product range.
From a very early age David has always been associated with the entertainment and hospitality industries. Starting out as a musician creating his own recording studio, record label and publishing company. Later evolving into the hospitality industry where he has been for the past 25 years. Proor to his arrival in Singapore, David had a 13 year career in Thailand at world renowned establishments such as Regent International Hotels, Four Seasons Hotels and Resort and JW Marriot Hotels & Resorts.

Allan Ng - Council Member
Allan Ng, who holds a MBA from Preston University and a BA in
Commerce & Economics from University of Toronto, is the
Managing Consultant of his own consultancy practice –
Business Management Consultancy which specialises in financial
restructuring & management, business strategy and
corporate training. Allan has more than 22 years
of banking experience in corporate lending to SMEs, real
estate financing, trade financing, project financing, debt
management & recovery and syndications of loans to
cross-border sovereign and private-sector borrowers in
Indonesia, Thailand, China, Taiwan, South Korea, Australia and
New Zealand. Part of his regional banking experience includes
an overseas assignment in Manila as Branch Manager as well as
working stints in Jakarta and Seoul as Chief Representative
and Credit & Marketing Manager respectively. Allan has
worked for UOB, OUB, IBS, Arab Banking Corporation (B.S.C.)
and Sun Hung Kai Securities Pte Ltd. His most recent
appointment was as Marketing Manager of UOB.

Col (NS) Chan Chee Pong -
Council Member
Col (NS) Chan Chee Pong is the Managing Partner of Paces
Strategic Business Consultancy. Started with a Diploma in
Electrical Engineering from Singapore Polytechnic in 1978.
Graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Economics and
Management (Hons) from the University of London follow by a
Master of Business Administration from the Preston University.
At the moment pursuing a PHD in Business Administration. With
more than twenty years experience in the building industry
holding positions ranging from Project Engineer, Service
Manager, Project Manager, Contracts Manager and Senior Manager
to Executive Director. Presently running a Business
Consultancy company with associate consultants. Col Chan also
conducted lectures from certificate to master level. He
currently lecture in an MBA programme. Col Chan also
participated as guest speakers in numerous seminars and talks.
Col Chan completed full time National Service in 1981 and over
the years moves up to the rank of Colonel and commanding an
Infantry Brigade as an Nsman.

Julian Sandt - Council Member
Julian Sandt is Senior Partner of Aegis Private Capital, a
Singapore-based
fund manager focusing on Pre-IPO investments. Mr. Sandt is
also an advisor to DEG, a globally operating developmental
financial institution owned by the German government. From
2000-2004, he has built the international portfolio of
public-listed
German Investment Group TFG Capital AG, and has led several
investees to an IPO or trade sale. Mr. Sandt is a director of
unlisted and listed companies in Singapore, Indonesia and
Australia. Mr. Sandt held (from 1993 - 2000) various senior
positions with Commerzbank AG in Frankfurt, Paris and
Singapore. Last designation was Manager, Capital Markets and
Syndications. Mr. Sandt has lectured in MBA-Programs and in
Singapore's ERC (Entrepreneurs' Resource Centre). He holds the
German MBA (hons.) from WHUKoblenz.

Colin Koh - Council Member
Colin Koh has been involved in the electrical, industrial automation, environmental management and power quality industries since the 80's. His long and illustrious career has given him the opportunity to see and personally experience the dynamics of economic evolution and industry restructuring. This perpetual cycle served to deepen his conviction in lifelong learning for personal and professional development. Living out his conviction, Colin has bolstered his two diplomas in Marketing and Management Studies (Singapore Institute of Management, Singapore) with a Bachelor in Business Administration (RMIT University, Australia) and a Masters in Business Administration (Preston University, USA).
Colin is the Immediate Past President of Singapore Industrial Automation Association (SIAA) and also the Vice-Chairman of the Industry Committee of Energy Efficiency (ICEE). Guided by his foresight in identifying emerging business trends, Colin currently promotes machine-to-machine technology.
Colin also promotes trainings which equip industrial automation professions with the skills to transit from conventional to knowledge-based manufacturing and services. This effort is in line with Singapore's goal to transform itself into Asia's digital manufacturing hub. Colin remains active in the industrial automation community, and speaks periodically at industrial automation-related
conferences. An insightful leader, motivating mentor, and encouraging facilitator, Colin is also very much a team player.

Mel Boey - Council Member
Marketing Director of CEOlution Alliance Pte Ltd (CEOlution),
Ms. Mel Boey is a Master Coach and a certified NLP
Practitioner. Enriched with over 15 years of Sales and
Marketing experience, she has acquired a unique flair for
dynamic communication, public speaking and training which has
